Things that you should always keep in mind when you want to take pictures:

Never forget to compose your image, if you just let the chance make things you may end up with  compositions that will make the picture uncomfortable to look at. If it's a portrait or a close up of object ( or food...) make sure to have the subject in the center . Exceptions can be made if the background have something to show, or if you want a close up to a part of the face to add some mystery or simply cause it artistically will make something interesting.

Speaking of Background... never forget it! Some details can make the whole photo a mess. A color too bright may take interest when the subject will lose it, the background can also simply be ugly or have strong lines of perspectives that could unbalanced your picture. So... never forget it!

As example here: someone passed just as I was shooting so I have a elbow in the way and it's kinda annoying for the eyes!

Pay attention to the color harmony, some colors goes well together by fading in each other or by making each other more intense. If you can avoid it NEVER take Black and white pictures. You can turn any color pics into B-W on any pictures program. Black and white may help to get pics that look well balanced as there is no need to care for the color, but You may lose a very nice harmony of color by pure laziness ( don't deny- it!).

When you want to take a good picture, please forget your need to look cool... move around your  subject try different angles, lights... If you have to climb on the table DO IT ( wen you're at home :p don't climb on other peeps tables without their permission...)

Last but not least ( and maybe even the more important)... The Light! The best light is the light
from outside not the direct sun tough, it can "burn" the picture ( make de white zone Absolute white, by so: Flat.) If you're taking picture of food or object taking them out , in the garden maybe a good idea. that's for general pics. When it come to low light pics or night shoot it's another story... i'll make another article about Light in photography only with the basics of how work a camera so you'll be able to understand better!

I hope this as been useful and will make you feel the need of taking lots of great pictures!

Enjoys!

Bento out of the box.

I guess most of you know what is a bento box? It's a lunch box, traditionally it come from japan... the difference from our usual lunch box is that it's much more inventive and often contain a whole lot of different and inventive dishes. It's pretty fashionable around vegan rich peeps ( which I'm not ) But it give many idea and many dishes that I want to try out!

My sis is having her uni. exam so I make her bento sometime when she is having crazy day... This one had Quinoa with sausages ans houmous sauce, Green pea burger , mini tomatoes and cheese. and of course tea!

I've made many other but it's the first time I took pics of it *_* so first share! ( ho and we did not ate the forget-me-not...)

Wannabe taler/illustrator hu?

sooo... I thought I may share some super secret and interesting informations with you guys *_*... This is a "step by step" of "how to be a wannabe taler/illustrator". So open you hears and be ready to be introduced to the Oh So Secret art of sorting the mess of your head to turn it into stories and drawings. As this is a step by step, let's start with the first step:

First thing and surely the most important and useless in same time: finding a way to sort out all the ideas that poped in your head somewhere or somehow: For myself it's mostly sketches books, but also written down on computer, drawn in the middle of classes notes or on and old newspaper... I say most important because most of the time if you don't get you idea down somewhere it will just go with the flow and you'll end up forgetting it... And useless because, let's be frank, 80% of those craps wrote down won't ever be used or read again...

Step two: Once in a while get back to those random notes and sketches, sort them and try to make them work together. Still even if you get to make many different things work together it won't give guarantee that you'll use them... But well sometime you'll definitely will!

Step three: Good you have your idea and kinda really like it! Now you need to find the time, the patience and the courage to make it into a story, or a comics, or a project for a big nice illustration. It's time to work carefully on your text, start to think of your images construction, the kind of images you want, maybe draw down some basis ( like if you'll need plants in your story it may be time to get out and draw few from nature...) , choose colors...

Fourth step: It's not always the fourth step. Mostly it's the fourth step when you want to end up with a book project . You'll make a mini project so you can decided of the shape , the number of pages, cut the text , make first composition, so you'll have your first visual over your book ( it important cause your whole pics must work well together for the story! also you must choose how you'll cut the text carefully cause by pages you can't have countless picture and last but not least your book must be dynamic while being read, the eyes must have an easy travel around the pages and the story must be fluidly tale. )

next steps Soon.

Monsters and dragons

Fairy Tales are more than true: not because
they tell us that dragons exist, but because
they tell us that dragons can be beaten."

BD: [ End-Elisabeth]

After, I can say it, years of impatient waiting, this comics book is finally out! From a collection that I particularly love In the Soleil editions: Metamorphose. End main them is Death, but also mutation and transformation. I have nothing to say about the graphics a part that it leave you speechless... Amazingly detailed, pretty faithful to the style it was inspired from ( art nouveau mainly) and with such a mastery of the color that I spend a very long time just looking at the pictures (actually that was more than nothing to say). Little negative point to the book, let's not get lost in admiration, the Original language is Italian and I think it have lost a lot poetry at the translation, plus the texts polices and the graphic conception of the "bubbles" is really out of place next to the amazing visual... Fortunately the book itself stay and amazing object, with details all over it from the choice of the paper to the relief effect, nothing has been left to chance.
For the story itself, it's the first tome , it make it mysterious, you meet different persons none of them being completely introduced and while you turn the pages you slowly discover everyone trough the others discussions. You also get to understand the context and the reason of what's happening slowly trough each sequences. In my opinion it serve very well the story mystery; you have to observe and to look for informations to slowly forge your knowledges... Saying it's like a study would be too much but it's nearly how I felt while reading. Discovering amazing new things about a subjects I'd be super curious about: it's passion.  I'm pretty sure  you can read my enthusiasm trough those lines even after the tiny deception of the text matters so I can only suggest you to give it a try and read it!

Poppies paradise.

Poppies... gotta love them!
I'm always having hard time taking pics of them that I'm happy with! Their color is always very intense and it's the kind of color that the camera got hard time to fix clearly without weird effects ( like a yellow or cyan edge all around the red or very clear edge too you can see it a bit on those pics, the worst is when the red itslef got altered and turn to another type of flashy red *_* ) Well I'm kinda happy with those there and I hope I was able to share a bit of the poppies Paradise with you!

Sweets time!

Last week I've tried two new recipe and they end up pretty well; Cheese cake, and "flan pâtissier" ... Just in case some of you want to try those out here are some recipes easy to make and amazingly good to eat!

"Chees cake":

500gr  simple white cheese
250ml cream ( not the light one)
100gr sugar
2 eggs
Vanilla ( can be real one, vanilla sugar or vanilla extract)

Lemon zest
180-200gr spéculoos
90gr butter

 - Turn on the oven T6 (180c°)
-melt butter, turn spéculoos into dust ( If you are not the choosen one, a mixer could help, otherwise the good old kitchen hammer) Mix the melted butter and dusted spéculoos together and used it to cover the bottom of the cake dish.

-Now you need a large bowl, you will mix together, the white cheese, the cream, the sugar, the eggs, the lemon zest and the vanilla, mix it to get some half creamy half foamy texture. Add that cloud in bowl stuff on the top of your spéculoos bottom.

 - let it cook 40-45 minutes , then turn off the oven but leave the cake in it for around 25-30 minutes. When the cake ( which you took off the oven after the 25-30 min) is completely cooled put it in the refrigerator for 24h ( what a joke... my cheese cake manage to stay safe for 4 hours .... t_t )...

Taaaadaaaaaaaaaa!

Well I'm lazy now so if you want the Flan pâtisser recipe ask for it otherwise... it will not be posted *_* Mouhahahahahahahaha...
